It is interesting how fashions change so much unyet there are certain key items which never go out of fashion. I was considering this yesterday when I was watching a guy who was wearing aviator sunglasses. Whenever I see someone wearing these they always seem to look stylish. however old or young they are and whatever they are wearing. It is so interesting that when many styles of mens sunglasses go out of fashion because they get associated with a particular age, that these remain in fashion. I suppose certain things are classics and even if they are not in fashion, they are still seen as a classic item and it is acceptable to wear them. I suppose this is reflected in the recent trend for wearing vintage clothing as anything vintage might be considered to be fashionable, but especially if it was by a famous designer. The sunglasses are obviously different in the sense that they are not vintage, as they are new but they are of such a classic style that it seems they will remain in fashion forever. Wouldn’t it be fantastic if you could predict all of the classic styles and then buy just those. You would have a wardrobe full of clothes that you could wear any time without worrying about whether you were on trend or behind the fashion.I do try to do this when picking clothes but it is difficult. I do have a few classic little black dresses but I find that I usually use a party as an excuse to buy a new dress rather than wear an old one! However, I keep them because I know there may be times when I cannot afford a new outfit and if I have a classic piece dry cleaned no one will know it is old and also there is less chance of me dressing in the same item as someone else.
